On-site contests and giveaways will also be offered for guitar fans of all types. “We are pleased to again help support the Wilson Center’s Guitar Competition and Festival again this year," said Michael Houser, CEO of Cascio Interstate Music. "In addition to our participation, we will be bringing in some of our best guitar manufacturers with representatives. They'll be available to provide information and answer questions on their brands and how their guitars are built and what models they have to fit any music genre. Cascio is proud to be a part of bringing regional, national and international guitarists to this fun and educational event.”
Featuring $22,000 in prize money, the first-place winners in each competition will perform live on Saturday, August 15, 2015. 59 semifinalists were recently announced from the pool of YouTube and DVD applications received this spring, and will come from across the US and from other countries to perform live during the weekend’s competition. 12 competitors are in the Rock/Blues category; 15 in the Fingerstyle category; 15 in Jazz; and 17 in Classical.
